Sometimes when you receive the terminals, the time zone can be set to China, so it is essential to change it to the correct one, based on the merchant's location.
To start - find the terminal either in Synergy or Secure Retail’s PAX store.
Change the Launcher to "Launcher3" (this will automatically switch the terminal from the Payments application to the home screen)
Click on the Settings app:
You will be prompted to enter the password, by default it is pax9876@@ (two other possible password variations if the first didn’t work: 9876 or 9876@@)
Scroll down to the Date & Time and click on it:
4. If the merchant has an automatic time zone selected -turn off this toggle and select the correct time zone manually by clicking “Select time zone”.
For UK/Irish Merchants - select Greenwich Mean Time GMT +00:00.
For EU Merchants - select any option that has GMT+01:00.
Based on the merchant’s preferences you can also switch between 24-hour format and am/pm.
5. Next, turn the<Automatic date & time> and <Automatic time zone> on and perform a restart.
6. If the time zone was not accurately identified, set the time zone to Manual and enter it according to the merchant’s registered country.
Now go back to App & Firmware tab in PAX store and switch back the Launcher to POSitiveSvc.
The terminal will immediately open the payments application and might ask the merchant to log in again if they previously haven’t saved their credentials.
